Over 2.5 million game records were compromised when an anonymous hacker breached the XBOX 360 and PlayStation Portable iOS forums in September 2015, according to a researcher.
Troy Hunt, an independent researcher, said that the breaches compromised email addresses, account passwords, and IP address.
The experts have advised the gamers to reset the passwords for all of their gaming accounts.
“As breach after breach has shown that using the same username and password for multiple sites is a bad idea, you would have to imagine this group would have gotten that message by now,” Jonathan Sander, vice president at Lieberman Software, said.
