Sony has officially announced to end the production of PlayStation 3 in Japan.
The company has estimated to have shipped more than 80 million units of the console across the world.
PS3 was originally launched for in November 2006, with a 20 GB console coming for $499 and 60 GB configuration for $599.
In April 2016, the Japanese tech giant had discontinued the Xbox 360 after selling out 84 million units of the console.
