PUBG Mobile Is Now Available For Android iOS

The mobile version of hugely-popular PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is now available for international download on both Android and iOS platforms

Released in March 2017, the battle royale game became the third highest-selling game of all the time on Stream.

The mobile version of the game was developed in collaboration with Chinese video game company Tencent Games.

“We are working hard to create an authentic PUBG mobile experience that players new and old will love,” said Chen Jerry, Tencent’s Corporate Vice President.

“A lot of (work) went into controls and optimization to give players a smooth and intuitive experience.”

PUBG recently became another milestone, becoming one of the fastest games to reach number one in downloads in over a hundred countries and regions.

The game currently supports devices running Android 4.3 or later and iOS 9 on iPhone 5s.

While PUBG costs 29 on PC, the mobile version of the game can be downloaded for free on both Google Play Store and App Store.

PUBG Mobile is expected to turn-on in-app purchases in the next month.

PUBG Inc. recently introduced events with the 8-player squad, which doubles the size of the standard teams in a match.

PUBGMobile1-700x394The company has also increased the number of rifles in the game, enabling the players to get the desired equipment as all people can carry out a raid on a town simultaneously.

“Using the Event Mode, players will be able have Battle Royale experiences otherwise not available in the public matches,” the company said in a blog post on Steam on Thursday.

“But it’s designed to be much more than just a preset Custom Game, as Event Mode will feature new content, much of it available in the game only for a limited time.”

PUBG’s, cartoon-aesthetic competitor Fortnite- Battle Royale, meanwhile, released an iOS edition on March 15.

Fortnite has generated over $2 million in revenues since turning on in-app purchases this weekend.

According to intelligence firm SuperData Research, Fortnite has earned $126 million, overtaking Candy Crush Saga as the top-grossing game ever.

Fortnite is yet to release its Android version.
